Confronting extreme challenges from Reliance Jio, telecom company Airtel and Vodafone Idea keep on losing their subscribers. As indicated by the information given by the Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI), in the long stretch of September, Airtel and Vodafone Idea lost more than 5 million customers altogether.
Prominently, around the same time, the Jio increased to near 7 million customers.
Vodafone Idea lost over 2.576 million customers in September
According to TRAI’s information, Vodafone Idea lost over 2.576 million customers in September.
Before the finish of September 2019, Vodafone’s client base remained at 372.486 million.
A similar downfall was Airtel likewise, which saw its customer base diminish from 327.952 million in August to 325.567 million in the next month.
Still, Vodafone Idea still leads the telecom market
Vodafone Idea still leads the telecom segment, having 31.73% of the total industry share. Followed by Jio with 30.26% of the overall industry. Lastly, Airtel is in the third position with a 27.74% market hold.
BSNL added a few more subscribers
BSNL’s subscriber base expanded from 116.234 million in August to 116.972 million in September.
