The Rajya Sabha on Wednesday passed the Motor Vehicles Amendment Bill, 2019, to revise the terms under the Motor Vehicles Act of 1988. The Bill had before been passed by the Lok Sabha. The bill was recently presented in 2017 yet couldn’t pass the Rajya Sabha and slipped by with the disintegration of the sixteenth Lok Sabha. The 2019 Bill was presented in the Rajya Sabha by the Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari. The Bill intends to authorize stricter punishments for traffic violations.

The new Motor Vehicles Amendment Bill have some new list of offense which was not available there is the old laws. Now if you break the rule you have to pay a higher amount than offense
