No Vivo IPL this year

After the outrage against Chinese companies because of the recent Galwan incident. IPL sponsorship deal was also under scan because of its Chinese roots.

Recently Board of Cricket Control of India Decided to cut all the ties with the Vivo for the IPL.

After the month’s Board of Control for Cricket in India announces its title sponsor for the upcoming IPL 2020.

This year IPL 2020 will played in UAE because of the rising cases in India.

IPL 2020 sponsorship 

Dream11 fantasy gaming platform bagged the title sponsors for the upcoming Indian Premier League for ₹222 crores.

Already Dream11 is one of the sponsor for the IPL.

A lot of companies were in the race for sponsorship. Tata, Patanjali, BYJU’s and Unacademy were in the race.

Tata was the top contender for the title sponsorship deal. Dream11 ₹222 crores outbid them which was ₹180crores.

Another startup Unacademy offer Rs. 210 crore whereas Byju’s bided the lowest (Rs. 125 crore).

Funny thing is Dream11 is also backed by one of the Chinese firm tencent. Notably, Vivo used to pay Rs. 440 crore each year to the BCCI for IPL sponsor.

IPL 2020 Matches timing

United Arab Emirates will host the IPL 2020. This IPL will be 53-days long tournament with same format T20 format cricket.

The IPL timing are the same 3:30 PM IST and 7:30 PM IST.
